Epic about Fortnite: "Minecraft was an inspiration for sure"

It looks like Minecraft is starting to get some attention from the big dogs.

Epic announced last night that it had a new game in the works called Fortnite.  Few details are currently available about the game but a key component is said to be freeform construction.  Lee Perry, Epic Lead Designer, has said the following about this intruging game:

"I see lots of questions asking if Fortnite is freeform construction. It is. It's not scripted or just boarding up existing structures, and it stands to reason if you can build a world, anything can be destroyed. That's about all I'm tossing out there for now." 

It was mentioned that Fortnite will focus more on constructing and destroying buildings instead of Minecraft's more widespread approach.
